In March 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 broke out near Tokyo, Japan, causing a Tsunami to hit the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Due to extensive damage done on the nuclear power plant, there was partial meltdown in two of the nuclear reactors.
Hitachi Aqua-Tech was tasked to supply RO systems to meet partial water requirements for the recovery of the affected nuclear plant reactors.
